The BNP Secretary General made this appeal through journalists after visiting artist Farida Parveen, who is undergoing treatment at the capital’s Universal Medical College and Hospital on Wednesday afternoon.
Mirza Fakhrul said that Farida Parveen is unique in Lalon Sangeet and is a favorite artist of Lalon Sangeet for the people of Bangladesh. She has maintained her unique influence in the world of music for a long time. She came here after falling ill and in a very critical condition. Her condition is quite complicated. The hospital authorities and doctors are taking good care of her.
The BNP Secretary General said that such a talented artist, who is appreciated in the world; a special board should be formed for her treatment. If she needs the highest treatment abroad by forming a board, arrangements should be made for her, this is what the nation wants. He said, ‘I will request the Chief Advisor to personally take the initiative so that she gets the highest treatment possible.’
After being admitted to Universal Medical College and Hospital on the morning of July 5, artist Farida Parveen is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The 70-year-old artist is suffering from various physical complications including kidney problems and diabetes.
The BNP Secretary General stood by the artist’s bedside for a while and inquired about her treatment from the doctors and asked what should be done.
